Special Activity: Diaster Management Training

Two units of NSO Health and fitness have planned for Disaster Management Training as part of their special activity. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, West Midapore came forward to impart the training. The session was inaugurated by Dean of Students Affair, IIT Kharagpur. It was a hands on training to train the students how to use different types of knots for different ropes and for different applications of rescue operation. Among many things they have learnt how to carry patients and how to douse fire. The session started at 9AM and continued till 4PM with a lunch break in between. The students expressed their satisfaction over the training and pointed out other similar trainings are limited only to slide show. We thank the trainer for their selfless service. We have assembled in the Jnan Ghosh Stadium in the Saturday morning after three weeks. In the last two weekends the students were busy with Technology Festival and Cultural Festival. This is the first Saturday class after Spring Festival. The morning is a bit dull due to mist. The students have participated with enthusiasm in the class. Presence of PTI got back the system to normal. Some pictures of the field is given below:

We have assembled in the Jnan Ghosh Stadium in the Wednesday morning. This is the first class after Spring Festival. The morning is very pleasant. The students have participated with enthusiasm in the class. However, the structures of  Spring Festival has kept more than half of the field out of reach. As the PTI didn't join in time we face more challenge. One of our student, Mr. Alla Sairam (13CS10007) of unit 3 came forward to instruct other students. Some pictures of the field is given below:
