Special Activity : Diaster Management II

In continuation to the Disaster Management Training undergone by units 7 and 8, two more units, 4 and 9 of NSO Health and Fitness underwent the training on 5th March, 2016 as a part of their special activity. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, West Midapore came forward to impart the training. The session consisted of hands on training of students on different types of knots for different ropes and for different applications of rescue operation. Among the many things, they have also learnt how to carry patients and how to douse fire. The session started at 9AM and continued till 4PM with a lunch break in between. We thank the trainer for their selfless service. Some pictures of the event are given below :

Special Activity : Marsharl Art

Unit 3,6 and 10 of NSO (H&F) conducted Special Activity: Martial arts-- Karate. The training was given by Mr. Kishore Kumar Pandit (Black belt) and his team of 3 members on 5th March 2016. Unit 3 and 10 assembled at Tata Sports Ground (Near Tikka) at 6:00 AM. For them Session 1 ( 6 AM to 7 AM) was conducted and after a break of 15 minutes Session 2 ( 7.15 AM to 8.15 AM) was conducted. Unit 6 assembled at Tata Sports Ground (Near Tikka) at 4:00 PM. For them Session 3 and 4 was conducted by Mr. Kishore Kumar Pandit and his team. Refreshments was also given to all students after the sessions. Few photos of the session are given below:

Special Activity: Diaster Management Training

Two units of NSO Health and fitness have planned for Disaster Management Training as part of their special activity. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, West Midapore came forward to impart the training. The session was inaugurated by Dean of Students Affair, IIT Kharagpur. It was a hands on training to train the students how to use different types of knots for different ropes and for different applications of rescue operation. Among many things they have learnt how to carry patients and how to douse fire. The session started at 9AM and continued till 4PM with a lunch break in between. The students expressed their satisfaction over the training and pointed out other similar trainings are limited only to slide show. We thank the trainer for their selfless service.
