We Can

For students registered in this program:    Leave Application   Feedback/Suggestion

We are now in full strength! Today's work-out picture says it all. We took sometime to organize ourselves in three different groups 'A', 'B' and 'C' in each unit and then there was no stopping for us :-) Besides a fun-filled work-out we had some interesting things to learn and prove our worth. This we did with elan, entire team rising to the occasion!!

We had a small hiccup yesterday when NCC Air Wing said that it would not be possible for them to serve like last semester. We thanked them for their help and are grateful for that. We did not get any indication that they wouldn't be able to serve this semester when we talked informally to them some days back. We told them at that time that we would request the service when we have the full strength, that is when the first year students join us.

Do we really need to worry when we have the youthful energy, team spirit and a sense of responsibility among our young members? Mails were sent immediately to all students and faculty explaining the situation. Excerpts placed below.

"In last few weeks, we had five student volunteers leading the work out session. We request them to sit together, go through training videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/IITKGPNSO and come nicely prepared to conduct the session till further notice. Request Ashutosh Ranjan to lead / coordinate this team. If he is unavailable someday, the next in line will take over and the youth in us, the sense of responsibility in us will overcome all odds, unforeseen events, if any."

The students leaders started coordination among themselves and went through our training videos. And today we had an excellent and very, verye rewarding session which showed the grit, determination and compose the team have. For new members 'demo' was arranged with 'sit on your toes' position, followed by group exercise. This exactly had been the case how we started last semester. It was great to see that we could do it ourselves! Proud to be a member of this great team.
