Field activity of the new session started this morning with 2nd year students in the Jnan Ghosh stadium of our IIT Kharagpur campus. First year students will join us next week after their allocation to individual EAA programs are complete. We were worried but nature played sport as it did not rain. Two instructors from Gymkhana Mr. Pranab and Mr. Gyanswarup helped the students in exercise. Previous Program Coordinator introduced the new Program Coordinator to us who had been Program Officer of Unit 10. We heard that new Program Officer would join soon in his place. New Program Coordinators in his brief speech told us, the 2nd year students that the freshers will learn from instructors as well as their seniors and we have an added responsibility there. After exercises, we had little jogging to end the session. Few of us who were not in P.T. friendly dress promised our faculty that we would be careful from next session.
